Dedicated to creativity and beauty above all else.
Artie Sadtler is a bassist, producer,
and music teacher currently residing
in Philadelphia, PA.
Beginning his study of music at the age of 3, Artie has been creating music for his entire life. While arriving at the bass as his primary instrument, he has a passion for keyboards and synthesizers as well. His love of music landed Artie at the Berklee College of Music from 2012-2017, where he graduated with dual BA degrees in Bass Performance, and Contemporary Writing and Production.
Artie is currently performing with several different bands and artists: fusion band The Infinity Tribe, math rock band Think Machine, and singer-songwriter Lindsay Reamer. He has also performed with artists such as David Fiuczynski, Mark Giuliana, Jan Esbra, STIG, and Natalie Brooke.
hujiking is an experimental music project entirely performed by Artie. Using loops, pedals, tape, and computer wizardry, hujiking pieces together patchworks of different samples, live instrumentation, and on-the-spot audio manipulation to create long-form pieces of music. Improvisation is the key, with an overarching philosophy of “controlled chaos” defining the creative process of hujiking both live and in-studio.
